Tom Smith, Program Director Wise Adult Day Health.  Tom graduated from Boston University in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.  He worked in Circulation for the Boston Globe for twenty years, starting as a part-time customer service representative while in college and finishing as a Circulation Manager.  He left the Globe to run his own regional sign manufacturing company for seven years.  After selling his sign company, he joined Wise Adult Day Health as a part-time van driver in 2012.  He quickly realized that interacting with Wise participants was the most enjoyable job he ever had. A few months after joining Wise he became Transportation Manager.  After Wise shut down for 15 months due to COVID-19, Tom was excited for the opportunity in 2021to return to Wise as Program Director to help get the program up and running again.  During his time as Director Wise has restructured their space to create additional square footage for participants, refurbished their outdoor area, and added enhancements such as virtual reality tours.
