Zulmira Allcock: CEO has been with the agency since 1986. She immigrated to the US from the Azores Islands when she was 3 years of age. She graduated from Boston University with a bachelor’s in psychology and Boston College with a master’s in counseling psychology. In between degrees, she worked as a counselor in an adolescent residential home in RI. She began her career at AHS as a counselor on the Early Intervention (EI) Team where she worked with families and children with developmental delays or at risk for delays, including all Portuguese-speaking families. She was promoted to Director of the EI Program, where she held that position for 21 years, and then to Chief Executive Officer since 2018. She currently oversees all the programs and departments in the agency and reports on the status of programs and departments, as well as updates the agency’s action plan steps and all audits completed, to the Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Taunton Rotary Club serving as secretary, MA HeadStart Association, MA Early Intervention Consortium, MA Adult Day Health Services Association.
